Recent progress in quantifying evolutionary processes in natural and experimental populations

In this talk, I will highlight recent results from the lab focused around drawing inference from single-time point polymorphism data, multiple-time point polymorphism data, as well as mutation accumulation and directed mutagenesis studies. In particular, I will discuss our abilities (and inabilities) to infer parameters of both selection and demography, and I will present applications ranging from mouse to yeast to influenza virus.
